Valentines Day Nudes (Lipstick Edition)
Whether you’re team Galentines or Valentines, ladies I think I can speak for all of us when I say it’s hard picking the perfect lip to go with your outfit. Growing up I always thought a red lip was the staple of class and just flat out sexy. It made every look that much better, but now I think that about nudes. Yes, nudes! Who thought that the most neutral color could be so amazing? A nude lip can pull any makeup look together, not to mention if you line your mouth correctly you get the illusion of fuller lips. There are so many nudes out there, and it can be a little difficult finding the perfect shade. You have the pinker nudes, traditional (close to your skin tone), and then deeper browns. In my personal experience it’s hard to find all three for my complexion. Sometimes a nude can make your mouth look ashy, and that’s not the look we want! So I found a few for you all to try out that I have personally seen on all complexions!
First and foremost, each nude needs a liner to go along with it. Whether it is the same color or a little darker. I did link two lip liners for you to check out. My personal favorite is from Mac Cosmetics Chestnut. This is a deeper brown, and I use it with majority all of my nudes (even a couple reds!) This is a must have liner to add to your lip collection. My other suggestion is from Morphe Love Bite, and it is the best $4 you will ever spend. Love Bite pairs very well with the lighter toned nudes.
HUDA BEAUTY - Liquid Matte - Wifey. This is one of the pinkish nudes. It is a liquid matte and very pigmented so less is more with this one, but I did notice after a while it appears to be a little mauve. This lip definitely requires a liner, I like to use Love Bite with it.
Huda Beauty - Power Bullet Matte Lipstick Last Night. This is a cool toned, deep chocolate brown.
MAC Cosmetics - Matte Lipstick Velvet Teddy. This is a deep tone beige color, and is great for all skin types. I have literally seen this on every complexion from fair to those beautiful deep tones.
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Matte Lipstick Rogue. Full pigmented lip with a velvet matte finish.
Fenty Beauty - Stunna Boss Nudes. This trio includes Unveil (chocolate brown), Uncuffed (rosy mauve) and Unbutton (peachy nude)
Bobbi Brown - Burnt Red. This is a creamy finish with the reddish-brown color of a brick.
